Released just months after *Green River* and *Bayou Country*, *Willy and the Poor Boys* completed one of the most remarkable single-year runs in rock history, with CCR dropping three albums in 1969 alone. John Fogerty’s jug band instincts are all over this one, rooting the band’s swamp rock sound in something older and earthier, even as “Fortunate Son” became an instant anthem for a generation reckoning with Vietnam.
50th anniversary edition of Creedence Clearwater Revivals fourth studio album, first released in November of 1969, marking the last of three album releases that same epochal year. Featuring the hits Down on the Corner Fortunate Son, Midnight Special, Cotton Fields and more.
