#1 Record

Big Star’s #1 Record, originally released in 1972, is the debut album from the Memphis-based band credited with helping define power pop. This Craft Recordings edition is pressed on 180-gram vinyl and features all-analog mastering, cut from the original stereo tapes for faithful detail. It marks the first time in years that #1 Record is sold as a standalone release separate from Radio City. Often cited as an influence by a wide array of later bands, the album’s melodic hooks and distinctive songwriting continue to resonate with fans today.
