Notes The Fox is a hidden gem in Elton Johns catalog, blending introspective ballads with cinematic flourishes and political edge. This Canadian pressing features the surreal room setting with a taxidermy fox and vintage TVa visual metaphor for the albums eclectic tone. With contributions from Bernie Taupin and producer Clive Franks, the record moves from the haunting Eltons Song to the orchestral sweep of Carla / Etude. Its a bold, artful statement from an artist reinventing himself in the early 80s.
