The Head And The Heart built their reputation on exactly this kind of raw, room-filling sound, the kind that made their early Seattle days feel like a secret worth keeping. Stripping back the full-band arrangements of *Aperture* to reveal the bones underneath isn’t a bonus disc afterthought; it’s where this band has always lived, in the space between voices where the harmonies do the heavy lifting.
On Ghosts In The Machinery, The Head And The Heart share a collection of entirely new arrangements and acoustic reinventions of favorite tracks from their most recent studio album, Aperture. These tracks were approached with an emphasis on intimacy in the recordings, a closer focus on vocal harmonies, and delicate production.
