Tower Of Power Back To Oakland (LP Vinyl)

Tower of Power was already a Bay Area institution by the time *Back to Oakland* dropped in 1974, but this record found the horn-driven juggernaut doubling down on the gritty East Bay funk and soul that made them untouchable live. Emilio Castillo and the crew had built one of the tightest units in American music, and this pressing brings that warm, punishing low end back to the format it deserves.

Tower of Power – Back To Oakland (SYEOR 2026, Rhino Reserve, Black Vinyl) The album was originally released in 1974 and includes tracks such as “Don’t Change Horses (In the Middle of a Stream)” and “Time Will Tell”.
